Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Principal’s Message
Welcome to Baradine Central School, a small, inclusive K-12 school located in a rural setting and deeply connected to our local community. Our school offers diverse educational opportunities, outstanding resources, and integrated technology, supported by a dedicated and caring staff alongside a committed P&C.
Our enrollments typically range between 100 and 125 students from Kindergarten through Year 12, with approximately 40% in primary and 60% in secondary. More than half of our students identify as Aboriginal, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of our school community.
Guided by our motto, “Not in learning but for life,” we are committed to fostering lifelong learning. We benefit from strong community support and maintain a clear focus on enhancing both the learning outcomes and well-being of all students, nurturing the development of the whole child.
At Baradine Central School, we recognise the importance of addressing the academic, physical, mental, and socio-cultural needs of our students equally to ensure their success.
Our core values are respect, quality, participation, and safety. Equity funding supports our school’s unique rural and low socio-economic context, helping us provide tailored opportunities for every student.
We are continuously improving in line with the School Excellence Framework, the Wellbeing Framework, and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Key priorities include strong transition programs for early and middle years, as well as Vocational Education and Training courses in Stages 5 and 6.
A unique feature of our school is our off-site farm, which operates with various livestock and offers engaging agricultural education programs for our students.
Thank you for being part of our community.
Kind regards,
Christine Clarke
Principal
